Jennifer’s review of Hunter by AE Fisher

Title: Hunter

Author: AE Fisher
Genre: romance, contemporary romance, MC Romance
Stars: 4🛍🛍🛍🛍
When I opened this book, I thought it would turn out to be like other mc books. I was really excited to find that wasn’t the case. Mallory has been on the run for four years with her son Adair. Hunter, Adair’s uncle, catches up to her and brings her and her son home with him. I love Mallory’s sass and sense of humor. She constantly has a snappy comeback for anything being said. She is fiercely protective of her son and her heart. Hunter is a tough man to crack. He has strong walls built around his heart. He is a man who gets what he wants but also has a bit of a softer side (though that side isn’t seen much). I enjoyed the story and the characters. I loved the danger and twists thrown in. It made the story that much more interesting. I also really like the different places you can see where it can lead into a second book. The one thing I didn’t expect in this book is the emotions it had me feeling. I teared up a few times while Mallory was telling her story. It was also emotional when she had a breakdown right after coming home with Hunter. It made the story and the characters more real for me. It’s what helped me to be invested in the book. I hope there will be a second book. I’m also looking forward to what this author will come up with next.
