Little Shop of Readers

This is the story of Ryan, bassist of Recoil, and Tillie, the band’s new PR rep. Ryan had been doing PR for the band, but with the band growing in popularity, their agent decided that they needed professional representation. Ryan is offended and feels let down by his band mates when they all agree to give Tillie a shot. He tries his best to sabotage Tillie, pulls pranks on her, all while fighting his attraction to her with all his might. And she gives it right back to him.

This story was very fast paced, and I loved the interaction between all characters. I loved seeing their reactions while the band’s popularity was growing. And I loved Ryan’s tortured soul, even though he went a little overboard towards the end when he was struggling to come to terms with what his life was compared to what it had been years before. He has a hard time opening up to Tillie, and, because of that, he ends up breaking her heart. Tillie is a solid character, she stands up to Ryan and tries her hardest to understand his inner turmoil without having all the facts from him. It almost felt too easy how she took him back at the end after he finally confessed what his issue was. But then again, the man really had been through hell, he needed it easy for a change.

It looks like Nate’s story is next, and I cannot wait for it!!! I am so glad I found this series 🙂)
