Genre: romance, paranormal romance

I’m giving this book 3.5 stars. In the end I did enjoy this book. The book and the characters were well written. I didn’t really feel a connection with the characters in this book.(plus the sisters absolutely irritated me) I also thought the drama was a bit forced feeling. This book started so slow it took me a while to get into it. Once I got into the book it was pretty good. I loved the little bit of paranormal thrown in. It does end in a cliffhanger but since there are 5 books it’s no big deal. I’m hoping with book 2 I get a better connection with Heaven and Dylan.

Genre: paranormal, young adult, fantasy

Stars: 5πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›

This book was pretty different from what I am used to reading. I really love the author’s writing style and the flow of the book. This was a very easy book for me to get into. I love how independent Dorothea is for her age. I enjoyed seeing how responsible she is at only 18. She is a strong character with great wit and a take charge attitude. The paranormal throughout this story was different and very interesting. The strange creatures and the story behind why they are terrorizing this small town caught and held my attention. I absolutely love this story! I recommend this book if you like a bit of YA, paranormal, fantasy and creepy.

FINALLY!!!!!
Finally I have my story of Sage Mayson! Sage and Kim have had my attention since Until Jax where I first saw small bits of their very rocky relationship. I love that the very first thing I read was all the yummy details of how they met. The story is well written and the characters are lovable. This story was funny, sweet, and a bit emotional at times. I love the characters! I absolutely adore Sage! Sage and Kim had me laughing out loud, tearing up a bit and at times extremely frustrated. I love all of Mrs. Rose’s books, but I think I may now have a new favorite. Sage: my new forever book boyfriend!

Jennifer’s review of Fighting Pride

Title: Fighting PrideΒ

Author: Jennifer Miller
Genre: Contemporary romance
Stars: 5πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›
This is a book of second chances at love, dreams, and life. I absolutely loved this book. I think, for me this is her best book yet. The characters were real people with real problems, tragedies, and triumphs. The storyline flowed beautifully and I felt like I was actually there in the scenes with the characters. I cried, laughed, and cried harder. I found myself pulling for them and begging then to understand each other, begging them to remember their love. It has been a while since I have felt so much while reading. I’m so excited to see where her next book will go. I already loved Jennifer Miller’s storys and writing style. This book has only made me fall more in love her and her books. I hope everyone will read this and love it as much as I do!
I received an ARC of this book. (I then bought it because I love it so much!)

Fantastic conclusion!! Where Knockout leaves off Tapout picks right up. Ms. Valentine puts more drama and suspense this story. Ally and Jami start off a story really in love despite the protests of his coach not to get tangled up in a woman. When the crew decides to go to Las Vegas for Jami’s match and leave Ally behind that’s when everything comes crumbling down. She gets fired from her job and Spencer, Jami’s right-hand man, gets exposed for a gambling addiction that distracts Jami enough to lose his fight. He was previously undefeated. What will happen to their relationship with all the lies and secrets Ally and Jami keep from each other?

Ashley’s Review of Knockout by J.C. Valentine

Ashley’s 4-πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ› Review
Book: Knockout
Author: J.C. Valentine
Series: Wayward Fighters #1
Genre: Sports Romance, New Adult
Release Date: April 6, 2014
Stars: 4

Ms. Valentine is a new author to me and I was blown away. She writes a drama and angst filled story. Jami and Ally have so much baggage between them it’s unreal. They were neighbors growing up. She had an alcoholic father who used to beat her and her mother and Jami used to burglarize homes/businesses and do and sell drugs. She hasn’t been able to stop thinking about him since he was dragged away in handcuffs from her life. When they meet up again it’s at a MMA match where Jami is fighting, he put his temper to good use. When things get sticky for Ally with her job, she brings home clients and that’s a big no-no, she starts receiving calls and unexplainable things start to happen. Jami doesn’t need/want the distraction of a serious girlfriend but he just can’t help it with Ally. Will Jami have to become Ally’s protector once again?

I didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!
