Jennifer’s review of Fighting Pride

This is a book of second chances at love, dreams, and life. I absolutely loved this book. I think, for me this is her best book yet. The characters were real people with real problems, tragedies, and triumphs. The storyline flowed beautifully and I felt like I was actually there in the scenes with the characters. I cried, laughed, and cried harder. I found myself pulling for them and begging then to understand each other, begging them to remember their love. It has been a while since I have felt so much while reading. I’m so excited to see where her next book will go. I already loved Jennifer Miller’s storys and writing style. This book has only made me fall more in love her and her books. I hope everyone will read this and love it as much as I do!
I received an ARC of this book. (I then bought it because I love it so much!)

Ashley’s Review of Knockout by J.C. Valentine

Ashley’s 4-πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ› Review
Book: Knockout
Author: J.C. Valentine
Series: Wayward Fighters #1
Genre: Sports Romance, New Adult
Release Date: April 6, 2014

Ms. Valentine is a new author to me and I was blown away. She writes a drama and angst filled story. Jami and Ally have so much baggage between them it’s unreal. They were neighbors growing up. She had an alcoholic father who used to beat her and her mother and Jami used to burglarize homes/businesses and do and sell drugs. She hasn’t been able to stop thinking about him since he was dragged away in handcuffs from her life. When they meet up again it’s at a MMA match where Jami is fighting, he put his temper to good use. When things get sticky for Ally with her job, she brings home clients and that’s a big no-no, she starts receiving calls and unexplainable things start to happen. Jami doesn’t need/want the distraction of a serious girlfriend but he just can’t help it with Ally. Will Jami have to become Ally’s protector once again?

I didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Mr. Essen continue this series with a bang. I love how unfiltered Rachel is and from the first moment she meets Zander she is that way. And Zander thinks it’s refreshing that he doesn’t have to wonder where Rachel stands.

Rachel the typical California socialite her days are filled with shopping, working out and visiting with her friends. She doesn’t have a job and no concept of what it means to work and have to support yourself. She is involved in an auto accident ruining her trip through Europe before she even leaves. That’s where Zander makes his appearance.

Zander is a police officer with aspirations of making detective one day. He knows what it means to have to work for a living to support yourself and he knows what loss is like. Finding his heart broken Zander moves to California. That’s when he first meets Rachel after her auto accident, he is the police officer that is assigned to her to get her statement.

Ashley’s Review of Living Without by Lila Rose

Ashley’s 4.5-πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ› Review
Book: Living Without
Author: Lila Rose
Series: Hawks MC Caroline Springs Charter #4
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary Romance, MC Romance
Release Date: November 7, 2016
Stars: 4.5

This is a new author to me and I will definitely be getting the 3 books that precede this one. Nary May and Saxon captured my attention from the first chapter. Nary has been in love with Saxon for years and he doesn’t give her the time of day. So she convinces herself that she is over Saxon and begins a new relationship with a biker in a different MC. She gets abducted from college walking to her car by a lunatic hell bent on getting back at her family’s MC, the Hawks. And then her Hell begins.

Saxon aka Vicious, has been avoiding Nary because he doesn’t feel worthy of her, but when she gets taken all bets are off. Saxon totally flips out when he finds out who has her and the known atrocities he commits against women.

Nary meets Kelsey once she’s captured. Kelsey has been the play thing for months by their captors. Nary doesn’t want to be sold or become a play thing and she feels like she is betraying Jeremiah when all she’s thinking about is how she wants Saxon to rescue her. Gypsy, a biker from a MC in America, working with the Hawks infiltrate the kidnappers organization posing as a buyer for Nary. Gypsy with the backup of the Hawks take down their captors and rescue the women.

Kelsey is instantly drawn to Gypsy because he is the one that prevents her from being raped. Nary keeps having nightmares from her ordeal and Saxon wants to banish her nightmares. Will Nary be able to forget the past and believe that Saxon truly has feelings for her? Will Saxon be able to overcome his demons to let Nary in?

Lila Rose is my new favorite MC author. I highly recommend this book.

Ashley’s Review of Sold To My Father’s Friend by Cara Chance

Ashley’s 4-πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ› Review
Book: Sold To My Father’s Friend
Author: Cara Chance
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: November 2, 2016
Stars: 4

Amazing debut by Cara Chance. A quick but enjoyable read. It took a couple chapters for me personally to connect with the characters, but after I did it was a great book.

Angelique’s father owes a debt to Jace Landon, a “family friend.” When Angelique hears men in a confrontation in her house she goes to investigate. Little did she know she was going to be put up as collateral for what her father owes.

Jace is mysterious and intimidating and used to getting what he wants. He doesn’t know what to do with Angel, he didn’t expect to get in naΓ―ve innocent girl when he set out to collect. Will Angel have to pay off her father’s debt or will he come through?

Character development was lacking for me, but over all this story was good. On a sidenote the sex scenes were HOT!!! I would read more from this author.
