Jennifer’s review of Long Dance Home by Julie Mayerson Brown

Author: Julie Mayerson Brown

Genre: Contemporary romance

Stars: 4🛍🛍🛍🛍

I enjoyed reading this book. It is, for the most part, a cozy and romantic read. It does deal with a few heavy issues(mental health…). I loved the setting of the story. The town sounds absolutely lovely. It’s was so easy to picture myself walking around the town. The characters were relatable and pretty likable. I gave 4 stars because at times I would be so engrossed in the story everything around me disappeared and then I would get to parts where it would just drag. I loved the feel of this book. The focus of romance/love, relationships and choices. I wasn’t overly happy with who the main character ended up with but I loved the suspense, the not knowing what CeCe would choose. I will definitely add this to my reread pile and can’t wait to see what this author comes out with in the future!

Nowhere Girl, debut novel from Fiona Keane, held me under its spell. I couldn’t read it fast enough. The characters were absolutely amazing. Not only did I fall in love with the broken Sophia and Jameson, I was loving the secondary characters as well. This story is full of mystery and suspense. The author definitely did a pretty fantastic job of creating a world I could get lost in with her words. I’m so excited for book two. I need more on Jameson and am hoping it will answer some of my questions. Beautifully written story!!!!!!

I Burned Down His House is book 3 in the Love At First Crime series. It can easily be read as a standalone. This is by far my favorite book in the series. It had me laughing from the very beginning. It has a well written story and absolutely amazing characters. I love how in each book all of the previous characters are there. I love being able to keep tabs on my favorite old characters and be introduced to new ones as well. This story pretty much had it all for me. Laugh out loud funny, just enough of the feels, mystery/suspense, and the BEST DOG EVER! Read this book! I hope everyone loves this book as much as I did!

This is a fantastic debut for Jim Ody! I was thrown directly into the story of Daisy’s kidnapping and Eddie’s missing father right in the beginning of the book. The book is very well written and switches POV and between past and present to tell this story. Lost Connections is full of suspense, mystery and to my surprise and excitement it is full of odd characters and humor. This is a quick pace book and had me devouring the pages to solve the mystery. Absolutely wonderful book! I can’t wait to see this author’s works in the future!
